It is 100 percent due to your no-bull approach in dealing with families. At the time that we came to you, I was so distraught I could hardly think. I spoke to rehab after rehab (getting) the same or no answers at all. By the time I was referred to you, I felt that it was my last hope to find someone who cares. And there you were, ready to help, listen, understand and sympathize.

At this point, I am not entirely sure he will make it but I am entirely sure that you and your fantastic, awesome staff did all that you could to help. We are never sure what the future holds for us but I am sure that had we not found your facility, we may not have had a future at all with Steve.

I never intended to participate in counseling of any kind, I suppose, because I didn't think it was an option and because as usual everything would be all about Rod. It has taken me along time, years in fact, not to be afraid to do what I have to do and look after my kids and myself. So in saying all of that, I wasn't quite prepared to have nightly conversations with Tammy, and many, many conversations with Sonya. Finally someone was asking me, how I'm doing and if I'm okay and finally I was able to tell the truth.

You have always been sincere, direct, forthright, knowledgeable and info ready in your communication with me, keeping it simple and seemingly easy to attain. ….you were there for me while dealing with hospital protocol, actually helping me organize my own thoughts by contributing what you knew about the current systems. For me that pivotal point was bombarded with conflicting methods of treatment, opinions and yours was one that I was strengthened by because it showed integrity. The main result of all of Guy's hard work (at Turning Point) and yours and all the members of the staff is that Guy has not had a drink since. Three months’ clean and sober.

Thanks a million is how I feel about the program. Thanks to all your staff who treated Dan with respect and genuine concern. The support he received was wonderful. Dan and I have talked about him helping others. The idea we came up with was if you have a person who wanted to know more about the program—Dan would be happy to talk to them about his success. A younger person might benefit from this. So keep this in mind if you wish.
